For those who love the dramatic beauty that the Pacific Northwest offers, the coastal waters of the Salish Sea, which encompasses Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands, Strait of Juan de Fuca and beyond offers a beautiful and picturesque place to spend eternity.
Memorials at Sea is truly blessed to have this in our backyard and we are humbled to share it with the families we serve. Our special places for scattering ashes at sea include…
Strait of Juan De Fuca – With the beauty and splendor of the Strait of Juan De Fuca and the majestic snowcapped Olympic Mountain range, San Juan Islands and Victoria, British Columbia on Vancouver Island as the backdrop, this is among our favorite sacred scattering grounds.
North Puget Sound/Admiralty Inlet - With the historical Victorian seaport town of Port Townsend to the West, Whidbey Island to the east; surrounded by the grandeur Cascade and Olympic Mountain ranges, this area is a beautiful location, providing for the perfect send-off of your loved one’s ashes.
San Juan Islands – Situated between Washington state and Vancouver Island, British Columbia, the San Juan Islands are an archipelago, consisting of 172 named islands spanning 621 square miles, of which 447 square miles is water. Given the time and distance from our hailing port of Sequim, Washington, we schedule sea scatterings in the San Juan Islands twice annually and extra costs apply.
Memorials at Sea is pleased to support Orca Network. For every Sea Scattering we perform, we donate 10% of the cost to this important cause. Orca Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the whales of the Pacific Northwest, and the importance of providing them healthy and safe habitats.
